Learn Design Thinking
Design thinking is a methodology for innovation and problem solving. But what is the best way to incorporate design thinking into your own organization? What are the behaviors and tools necessary for success? Join us for this interactive workshop to learn and practice design thinking fundamentals and apply design thinking processes to solve your own specific challenges.
You can expect to learn:
- The six key components of design thinking and their corresponding behaviors
- Real world examples of design thinking in action — from large corporate initiatives to small non-profit implementations
- How leading with empathy functions as a dynamic catalyst for change
- Why collaboration and trust is a necessary component for problem solving
- How to properly position and embrace failure as an integral part of the innovation process
- When it’s appropriate to have really bad ideas — and how they often inspire great ones
- How rapid prototyping and a bias towards action can get things unstuck
- Why optimism and curiosity play an integral role in innovation and problem solving
The workshop will include interactive activities that put design thinking into action. The small group setting allows for deep learning and peer-to-peer engagement.
